When friends read no words than the first and evil has the last
When jones is the arbiter of morality and a joe has no voice
When science is art and art is science and neither explains each other
When the pope joins hands with the green and the avatar wins the day
When the upright are denied natural justice and the false are seen as true
When the long summer days are shortened and the cold bites the young
When the monastery falls to the Saracen and the temple opens its doors
When intellectuals have lost touch with reality and the data says otherwise
Then;
….. all that is left, is to write poetry.
