I'd like some advice, PowPing. I'll reward with satoshis! I'm in the process of changing career fields right now. I'm in consideration for joining The Bitcoin Association, and that would be ideal, since I'd be able to focus exclusively on bitcoin, but the other company who I'm interested in is a 10 billion dollar privately-owned global fiber bandwidth provider named Zayo from my hometown of Boulder, CO. I'm interested in building connections with Zayo to the emergent bitcoin community. I would love advice for how to explain to them the importance of this emerging market and both why and how and who they should be pitching bandwidth solutions. Zayo has offices in London, so I wanted to try to build a bridge between them and companies like TAAL and nChain. I'm interested in building the underlying infrastructure of connectivity on which the architecture of our daily lives will rest, and I want to help lead the path towards a more connected world. I'm more interested in the integrity and service to mankind than I am in benefiting myself directly, but obviously that would be a nice side-benefit if possible. Please give me some pointers, advice, encouragement and suggestions. I just see so much potential opportunity as more people awaken to the opportunities that are possible in bitcoin. Thanks in advance!!!
Personally, i think the BSV ecosystem is still quite young I see 1-2 more decades worth of development. However, a good bridge would be to work with Zayo, but then start connecting them into the BSV ecosystem. This would be much more fruitful (imo), as it helps bring it out of any "echo-chambers." Other than say a handful of companies (e.g. HandCash, MoneyButton, etc.), who are mostly venture-backed, most BSV companies are yet to be profitable. As such, you could tap into where the flow is already (e.g. Zayo), and then start to bridge that with the BSV ecosystem. We currently do that for Faiā (http://www.faiacorp.com). Most of our clients have been non-BSV, and our target market is such, but we are big advocates for Bitcoin in the long-run. We're just taking a pragmatic approach, and bridging the gap by exposing our clients and non-technical fans to what's truly possible. Either way, best of luck with your efforts, and great job reaching out to everyone!

Thanks so much. Great advice. I also appreciate that you're creating a brand around your own take on these matters in Faia, and I'm happy to see the traffic it's been generating of late. Part of my problem is that I am a relentless enough researcher to be "early" on the "next big thing" but then once I find out about it, I am impatient until others can find it as well. I think having a longer term plan will help ease some of the tension on creating the opportunity from thin air and instead allow it to arise naturally.

Timing certainly can matter. I always tend to use nature as analogies for what we experience day-to-day. Take for example surfing. A surfer doesn't aim to create ripples or waves. They go to where the waves are, watch, observe, and then time themselves accordingly. A mix between skill and "feeling" that results in some amazing "rides." The same could be said about any new technology and trend cycles. Business and industry markets as well (they all go through seasons/cycles). As for Faiā, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we're ~18 months young ourselves. Our launch event back in 2019 was titled "The Great Reset" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eoq87blN7aw&feature=youtu.be), featuring@jimmywin as our headline speaker. We knew something was coming, just didn't know EXACTLY when or how. We were expecting things to occur in 2019, but low and behold, Jan/Feb of 2020 (almost a year later), that's when the wave began. And now Covid is creating economic tsunami-like waves. If you ever want to chat, feel free to reach out any time!

I'd be really interested in that. Perhaps I could come on as a guest on your Faia Side Chat. I have a unique perspective on things in that I took a one-year vow of silence immediately after high school and prioritized finding myself over and above joining the thrash and thrall of a disjointed life. Especially as I read your writing and listen to your talks on your channel, I feel we're cut very much from the same cloth in that we explore not just the surface aspects of reality but their undercurrents as well. Faia is a project I could really get behind and endorse. All of the stated objectives and goals all match my goals. I want to build something that is closer to a flower petal than a brick building. I want to put emphasis on the dynamic aspects of bitcoin which enable growth to be fluid, interchangeable and present/presence-oriented as opposed to a monolithic structure of grandiosity. In some ways, we are like seedlings which have fallen from this tree of complexity which is the uncharted, pure "natural order" to borrow a phrase from the great@isaacmorehouse thesis blog, https://isaacmorehouse.com/2020/05/25/technocracy-is-evil-and-inhumane/ It only makes sense that, just like a child goes through trials as they learn the paths and patterns that lead to their own autonomy and autopoiesis, so humanity must experience the trials and tribulations that result from the necessary fracturing of our identities which are a required component of growth. After all, if we can never emerge from the concept that "something is right, simply because we ourselves think or wish it to be" then how can we hope to build a notion of truth which is independent from our own belief in it. As we our patterns of integration merge and coalesce into deeper and deeper waves of union, subtler and subtler identifications, etc, eventually we are no longer simply a child of the system from which we emerged, but become free-standing or in some ways we emerge on a macro-level as capable of not just joining the pantheon of our parentage, but also capable ourselves of seeding our own child-universes, not dissimilar to the way a massive black hole might provide the gravity necessary to enable junior orbiting galaxies to emerge on their own, of their own accord and with independent volition. In my mind, this is what bitcoin represents. It represents the capacity for our dislodging in a permanent way (not unlike the severing of an umbilical cord) from the static systems (what Isaac calls the "clean, dead chaos") which were necessary to nurse us to this point where we could embrace both the opportunity but also the onus and responsibility that true freedom actually represents... It represents our dislodging from the static, top-down organizing approaches necessary to drive us to this point in history that we might emerge into an authentic grounding with our own true nature, while at the same time not being divorced from what the trials taught us which led to this moment...
in my experience, most companies are willing to look at new technology for the opportunity of cost savings, operational gains (effectiveness or effeciency), risk mitigation, and/or growth (revenue, brand equity, etc) try to come at it from that angle and try your hardest to find like minded individuals in the organization that can champion the viewpoint with you. it also helps to have some people on your side that have experience with the internal politics of the organization hope this helps! and good luck

Hey! Interesting post! First off I wish you luck. I think you should take the job at Zayo and still be involved in the Bitcoin Association obviously. I think your thoughts are right on the mark. In thinking about what to suggest, I have something good for you . I hesitate to recommend older books, but Craig himself recommended this to me on Twitter (when he was on it). George Gilders book -Telecom - The World After Bandwidth Abundance. I think it is right on point for your question. Going to follow you and hope to hear more. Best of luck! https://www.amazon.com/Telecosm-World-After-Bandwidth-Abundance/dp/0743205472

Kudos to you man, whichever path you pick i wish you luck. They both sound like excellent choices. Reading your thoughts i have a feeling you are more inclined to work for Zayo, perhaps a little moonlighting is in order to get the best or both worlds? If thats possible? Good luck brother, seems like your in a good position. Either path sounds great.
Whatever you decide mate, good luck.
point zayo to the tonicpow and make some advertising money with them.

My skills are in sales, marketing, networking, conceptualization, communication & listening, long-term planning, visionary & spiritual grounding, loyalty, determination, giving, and relating subtle concepts to broad audiences, etc. I'm strongly drawn to bitcoin and just want to help in any way I can. My energy is comparable to Fire. I'm very patient. If I sense a spark, I can perform miracles to build a small source into an inferno. I think bitcoin is unique because at its heart, it is about frictionless freedom of exchange. This naturally applies to freedom of monetary exchange, but to me, it's much bigger than that. Bitcoin represents the personal investment we each make in ourselves and each other, like a sand-castle that cannot be washed by the tide. The benefits bitcoin provides go so far beyond just being peer-to-peer electronic cash but represents an age of lossless information.
If you can think of ways this might save money for Zayo, then that might help them open up to suggestions!
