so disappointing... 20% discount, amazing fees for shipment but nobody gives a fuck. Maybe it is time to just accept credit card lol
You might just be on the front lines with this. Sorry to hear it is not working out.
framore replied:
it is not working out because nobody cares. In bsv is all about apps, even they promote apps that don't exist... if you make a website and you say you are going to build a cool app, they will interview you and talk about you (which is promotion). If you sell things for BSV, you basically do not matter.
I think you just have to be patient Framore. I've offered 25% discount on my services for payment via bitcoinSV and I've never had any takers or interest. But the current market for BSV customers is tiny. The vast majority of the population have no knowledge or understanding of cryptocurrencies. But slowly over time people will and you'll see usage accelerate I'm sure. Rome wasn't built in a day ;-)

It has been 2 years trying and I cannot wait forever running a site has a cost and I better focus on my main site that sells already well. Honestly I don't see any future of crypto a part of smart contract. Crypto as cash is already obsolete.

@framore I'm going to interpret the #1 rule of PowPing loosely. Sometimes being nice is telling your friend what they don't want to hear. I do hear your frustration but imagine this: 1. You once shared on social media how many BSV (or maybe it was BCH) that you owned. Why would I give my hard-earned BSV to you in exchange for pasta/Italian goods when it's been established I have far fewer units (of BSV, not pasta). There are many Italian goods specialty stores in my city and neighbourhood. 2. I don't buy BSV. It's painstakingly earned with heart, soul, and hundreds (probably now thousands) of hours of art created by my own hand. I don't want to sound like a complainer either but I have a tiny violin for you. 3. Do what is best for you. Nobody should hold that against you. Close your site or keep it running, it's up to you. I am currently trying to sell things for BSV too and it's bloody hard. End rant. The only reason I feel mildly comfortable saying this is because we once met amicably in real life and I would also say it to your face in conversation but as nicely as possible.

@framore I've also been at it for a couple of years. Please keep your spirits up in other aspects of your life, doing things that make you happy, until we and BSV have some momentum. p.s. Here's a throwback to that time I sold about three items, with much difficulty, after all this effort: https://satoshidoodles.com/still-early-days/ The splintering of Bitcoiners into warring tribes (wasting tons of energy and time infighting) also killed a lot of momentum for Bitcoin as cash.

Oh sure ! You are welcome, I enjoyed meeting you and talking to you and reading today your long message is a good way to remember those days in Seoul. Yes once I said I had close to 200 bsv but sadly now I have just 2 $ on bsv. My frustration is huge for bsv. I got very disappointed with the whole idea and community because it is just like self contemplation with disregard for anything outside. I found this thanks of a telegram group called bsv basic where I was for months very active, but anytime there was an outsider or even my ideas were a bit doubtful the admin there would behave like an inquisitor. Then there are the lies or Craig and of the "propaganda" apparatus with Coingeek in front line: last Feb... with the halvening btc will die. "I will sell all my btc in 2020" Or the forever waiting projects forever in alpha or waiting list... tokenized, cryptofight, even blare... but what is very annoying is that every fart of potential was promoted while real company trying to adopt it is not interesting mentioning ever. Then there is this calling everyone scammers... I have a long list... fortunately I am able to think freely. I should have sold all my bsv when it was at 400$ I would have made a huge profit from 30$ to 400$ Now sold at 180~190 not bad, I am making profit with new investments. But the real profit is that I finally gave up the idea that Bitcoin will make me rich, it won't. I will become richer with my company hard work. Luckly as soon I quit that toxic telegram group and the bsv, I focus so much on my own job, also due to the pandemic, that my company is doing so well now. That is me at the end of 2020 😊

I see your point about promises and threats. I don't pay any attention to price predictions and also projects that are more talk than show (although doing things right can take time, especially where regulations are concerned). I'm glad your company is doing well and hope that you and your family are well too. <3
