Loyalty does not exist with tech platforms without a solid product + brand + team. Have noticed how quick people have been to switch from Twetch to PP due to ease of use, low entry barrier, etc. Users today tend to be loyal to what works first, then to all the other stuff. So solid foundations are fundamental to long-term product success. Agree or disagree?

People love anything new and shiny. And this works both ways - as quick as folk pick up the latest new thing, they move on just as quick to the next. You may even call it a red queen game :) Powping has given twetch a pow this week, but it may be the other way round next week. Twetch have had good success in reaching out to people outside of the BSV bubble, they've done decent press stuff, have a few celebs playing with the platform and have a team of six (?) working on the app with a good track record of regular improvements. They're smart fellas and I'm sure they'll carry on carrying on in the way they do. Powping has certainly shaken things up though. And has given us all a lot to think about in terms of what even IS a bitcoin app.

Haha. We are living in a bubble. Give this platform to any blebb out on the street and they ask What is this stupid interface. Looking like it's form the 90s. Did your son do this? Or why do I have to swipe this stupid button Everytime I want to post and why do I need to create two account. WaKe up!

That was me because I'm finding I prefer this to Twetch already, although Moneybutton is starting to get annoying.

Count on it.
My take is that Brand loyalty is only a thing when products are somewhat equal. For example Nike vs Adidas. Twetch felt a bit too much like a game with winners and losers. I still prevered twitter beside it obvious flaws. So far powping feels different than twetch, more social, and this might make me drop twitter.
siosism replied:
yeah, I would agree. I'm enjoying keeping Powping open more than Twetch and Twitter currently. I think that's the problem with Twetch trying to be anti-Twitter (as their marketing position). I still love their work, but am seeing the noticeable differences. Powping is just seeking to do something completely different. It's positioning is not adverserial.

IMO Twetch didn't nail a use case as their vision is a bit convoluted (involves a lot of political ideology), people just used them because they were the only available social network at the time. Powping is doing better at simply providing BSV'ers with a social network and not including any ideological baggage, So people are switching. Long story short I agree, nail product market fit first, worry about the other branding/marketing stuff later.

Agree. Although what those foundations are is likely subjective.
