West was always corrupt, and all went downhill fast after vilifying communism, worker parties etc. 70s is when it all accelerated and started going fast down, not the 90s.

What was different between then and now? Is it just geopolitics or personal life as well?
edin replied:
Back then there were strong workers parties, workers had a way to balance out the one sidedness of Capitalism. Once Communism and workers parties were vilified, and using propaganda, government just banned it, and has been labeling Communism, Socialism etc, as "evil" all bad etc, Capitalism got a free ride into oblivion, which is where we are now. Socialism acts like brakes on a vehicle driven by Capitalism. Capitalism has no built in brakes and steering wheel is in hands of the Capitalists and such vehicle eventually always goes off the cliff.

What are the tangible problems that have caused the West to go downhill fast? I'm only seeing handwaving and analogies.
edin replied:
All systems based on privatisation are the root cause of all problems of western society. Its because these systems are tools to create, enable and maintain growth and control of the Oligrachies. Capitalism, Private Central Banking are pyramid type structures of power and they are the problem. Such power structures have to be abolished in favor of worker run cooperatives, actual democracy in the workplace. This is not handwaving and analogy, it is very specific and correct explanation of the problem and only real solution which the masses have to understand in order to change their mindset and then act on this knowledge and understanding... put it into practice by fighting to abolish systems based on privatisation. Wherever work is done using collective, then the collective must be the deciding entity. This is what PoW is actually about, PoW is actually communism and not capitalism... and this principle of PoW needs to be used in rest of society, in fact even relationships are fundamentally based on same principle, and I realised this just 2 days ago. Even in relationships, to create wealth, which is represented by long term meaningful relationship, both parties need to put in the work. If you think about it, for one night stands, hook-ups etc, people do them because they don't want to put in the work/effort into creating long term relationship. Also relationships that break down, they break down because one or both parties stop putting in the work into the relationship. So anywhere you look at, its work vs reward... PoW affects everything. And its PoS, hence Ownership (which is again NOT Work) that puts things out of this natural relationship... its what corrupts everything... and both Capitalism and Private Central Banking are based on PoS and not PoW.

Risk management is work. Someone has to be ultimately accountable or the quality of things degrade. POW is not there to ensure a distribution, it's there to ensure that work gets done.
edin replied:
Risk is not work. Management is work indeed, however it is only a small fraction of work needed to produce anything, and in fact in most cases a very tiny fraction. Also, once again, ownership is NOT work at all, and Capitalism itself is based on PoS (ownership) only, which is exactly the reason for ever increasing wealth inequality, which eventually has to collapse. I am really disappointed that so many people can't see these very simple truths. Brainwashing that Capitalism created (as well as Feudalism, Minarchies and religions) pushed onto people, has done massive damage to understanding of what is really going on and why.
token_squatting replied:
Managing risk is work. Collecting capital is work. The most valuable work is the type that can't be done by anyone else. If labor is valuable, then go dig me a big hole and call it a mine.
edin replied:
Collecting capital created by others, which is the very fundamental principle of Capitalism, is literally exploitation and also hoarding.
token_squatting replied:
The last step in the process is not the creation in any meaningful way.
