Peer-to-peer networking is a distributed architecture that partitions tasks between peers. Peers have the same privileges. Peers form a peer-to-peer network of nodes.
Is there a FAQ somewhere other than the about / question mark? When I tip, say $0.01, $0.02 shows up. Is there underlying USD penny tax to support the business?
Peer-to-peer represents transacting directly with any entity I determine to be my peer/(friend) at the that time - however brief or insignificant the relationship between us may be.
Ima get unwriter's two cents and we'll be good buddies.
P2P means TRUST: Alice 100% trusts Bob, so when Bob sends her $100 for a warm kiss on the mouth on the cold ski lift that has ZERO internet access, she delivers the kiss even tho she cannot guarantee Bob didn't send her a double-spend to get the smooch for free. Peer to Peer = TRUSTFUL connectionless transactions, settled later.
Peer to Peer is what a rainbow is with respect to the separate points where it meets the ground.
Peer to Peer means being simultaneously grounded in something but also bridging towards the pure unity that is embedded within conjoined "opposites."
With the introduction of perspective into art through the frescos of DaVinci, you have for the first time a visual representation of the dialectical opposites which form the basis of the third-dimension and allow objectivity and scientific materialism to emerge from under the thumb of the dominant worldview represented by the church.
But just like any emerging construct, the process forms through differentiation and re-integration.
Peer to Peer represents the symbolic reintegration of those dialectical opposites which necessitated the emergence of the Enlightenment period by enabling a direct connection between one's self and a perceived "other."
The emergence of peer-to-peer as a viable network structure enables the establishment of a new framework and guidelines as our identities in these small-world networks become increasingly self-substantiated and are able to then symbolically re-integrate with the lagging culture of bygone technological advancements. It's important to remember that those cultural hallmarks naturally don't cease to exist in the presence of new emergents just as the church did not cease to exist with the introduction of modernity. To consider the success of emergent models of orienting with each other to be dependent on the dissolution of previous paradigms is in some ways to miss the forest for the trees.
It's just that, as in the famous scene in Wizard of Oz, the "Wizard" which represents the since leap-frogged paradigm will become increasingly exposed for its being over-exposed.
That is to say, the Wizard of by-gone paradigms become recognized as illusory as newer network patterns emerge and the capacity to engage with others is inevitably returned to its rightful place as residing with the individual.
In this sense, peer to peer represents our ability to make that ultimate recognition, which, just as the golden rule details, suggests we should treat others as though they were our selves, or as we would wish to be treated.
But that is not to say that our identities become lost in each other as a result of this understanding. It is not to suggest that the boundary between us is not real or not meaningful or is meant somehow to be subverted.
But rather, just as in the poem "Mending Wall" by Robert Frost, there is an acknowledgement that "good fences make good neighbors," because the autonomy of each whole can be respected when the autonomy of self is honored.
Peer to Peer enables us to be good neighbors by preserving our boundaries without allowing us to use those boundaries to repress or restrict others in the process.

it's all about Data and your, their data and monetize it , that is why i think -ORGANIZING DATA AROUND CITIES OF THE WORLDS- , is still the best idea for a NETWORK BUSINESS. and everything else turn around that circle. ( CityOnChain for the Win ! ) because there is a strong common thing around the individual... their land. their cities , their memories.
you are peer to peer by sending through this .... middle man
you are peer to peer because you've got to trust a third party
you are peer to peer because watchtowers protect you
2 machine or humans interacting with each other.
This can be directly all on chain or exchanges off chain, back and forth and then the final settlement onchain.
Depends if you’re a marketer or a computer scientist. If you’re a marketer it means pretty much whatever you want it to mean. If you’re a computer scientist it means an application architecture that’s only better in very specific circumstances.
Peer to peer is a distributed application architecture where agents are equally endowed, often fulfilling the same roles and where service characteristics are often emergent.
