From 24th July, it will become mandatory to wear a mask when entering a shop in England.. What are your thoughts on masks and the imposing of mandatory mask wearing? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-53397617
Probably a good idea.
...that none may buy or sell anything without that mask...

Interesting. I’ve heard people reference a possible vaccine as sign of the end times. I doubt this mask wearing will be enforceable though. They already tried it for public transport and usually about 30-40% don’t wear masks. I think as they continue blaring out the warnings and fear statements more people will comply though.
I'm ok with that. If that helps to stop the spread let's do it.

Doesn’t it feel like such bizarre timing? Given many supermarket shops for example never closed - why wasn’t mask wearing mandated then? Also public transport never fully shut down - especially for many who still went to work. Why no masks then? The death figures have also been inflated according to Public Health England. Meaning the already very low death rate - barely higher than the seasonal flu, is probably even lower. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-health-secretary-matt-hancock-orders-urgent-review-into-public-health-england-death-data-12030392

Well, people have to buy groceries. If you don't have a car you have to use public transport. Why masks weren't mandatory? There was a shortage, I never stopped working because I work at a essential business where in my work area (lab) we have to use masks and we were struggling with them. That's my opinion. And of course I was on the same boat like many others that all this is a conspiracy, but now I have family members and co-workers sick, so I better take precautions.
liam replied:
Thanks for your reply. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy. Governments just make stupid decisions that the public don’t question. Hmm shortage of masks? The new mandate says “face covering”. Do you really believe there was a shortage of face coverings? According to the mandate just using a scarf to cover your face is good enough. Your family and co-workers are sick with COVID? Vitamin D (I.e sunshine) seems a far better treatment than masks. I wish them all a good recovery. https://images.app.goo.gl/APX9P1vYS7oDGKJF9
Makes me think cba to go shopping.
People who choose to obey what others tell them because they lack the courage to disobey unreasonable and irrational orders are called slaves. At 99.96% survival rate, requests for masks are both unreasonable and irrational.
