The most exciting BSV-based tipping bot is happening on WeChat ... right now
On January 6, 2021, Aaron67 announced an update of Webot, a BSV-based tipping on on WeChat. This is significant and here are the reasons why.
1. Webot is incredibly easy to use
As a user, you don't have to jump through all sorts of hoops only to sign up. To tip another Wechat user, all you need is his or her Webot handle.
For example, by typing in WeChat
发送 #aaron67 546
(i.e. send #aaron67 546)
Aaron67 would receive my tiny tip of 546 Satoshis immediately.
2. You can tip a really small amount, effortlessly
One problem with tipping in the fiat world is, "I like this author but I don't really want to tip 5 dollars. It's still too much. I'm too embarrassed to ask, but is 20 cents an option?"
With the latest update, Webot allows you to tip anyone an amount as small as 546 Satoshis (an equivalent of roughly 1 Yuan or 0.15 USD). In the future, the number could be furthered lowered to 135 Satoshis, as needed.
3. The 1.2 billion monthly active users are something to take advantage of
Remember how Paypal gave every new user 10 dollars only to sign up with their emails? Now imagine you've got 1.2 billion active users all using the same app, how many of them would decline a tip?
It is getting late and I'm really looking forward to exploring more features of Webot in the next few days. Stay tuned!
