From what I understood R-puzzle are an UTXO you can spend if you know a specific value R.
How is it different from something like "OP_HASH value" where value is hash(R) ? So you would need to know R to spend that UTXO

Using R-puzzle, the spender can leave an identity by sign the tx. We could add other constraints on the public key, such as only a group of public keys is permitted.

R is a function of an ECDSA signature.
Knowing "k" to allows anyone to produce R, where k is the k value of a signature.
You are describing a simpler usecase instead. Both are similar, but one is a function of ECDSA signature which gives you the ability to do more complex things.
