Look how this topic brought an incredible number of messages, comments, long comments... this shows PowPing works well but still the main argument is always the same. Craig and Satoshi drama. I hope one day we could see a different issue producing the same amount of interest on PowPing
There's a "deleted account" sprinkled all through the convo. Someone rage quit?
benjamin replied:
That was Pete Myers from twitter (@pd_myers). He created an account to try it out, mainly to disprove that BSV had any useful stuff going on. Made a post about it being rubbage on Twitter. Then tried to delete the account here, and couldn't... so, I think@unwriter had to help create a way to off-board him. I tipped him in the thread you reference here to help him get a flavor of the micro-tx environment - but you can't see any of that because the thread is gone where his account was deleted. He said he was going to try Twetch but then got insulted by one of the Twetch guys and went on a BSV rampage for a while on Twitter... then moved back onto linguistics and BTC...
Lack of adoption means there is little news of substance. Drama fills the void.
framore replied:
yes but if you look what it is happening for other projects... this shouldn't be like this. This is a sign for worries!
danlazo replied:
What shouldn't be like this? People engaged in pointless personal drama of who created Bitcoon? It's human nature. As far as a sign of worry, yes, the lack of adoption is troublesome.
framore replied:
Other projects have no drama but adoption. PolkaDot has so many new accounts everyday for example.. it is growing at higher speed.
danlazo replied:
Haven't heard much about it. Is it ethereum based, or competitor?
framore replied:
PolkaDot ? It is competitor of everything, very revolutionary concept. Already double market cap of BSV. Relay chain, Parachains... interoperability and already got so many projects build on it.
framore replied:
the smart idea is that it doesn't compete by killing other chain (like BSV wants to do) but by interacting with it. It is bigger than just blockchain.
musiq replied:
No, that's a terrible idea. If you think things like PolkaDot is great, you never really understood bitcoin. I am as annoyed about how people have been marketing BSV as you are but just because they do stupid marketing doesn't mean that bitcoin itself is wrong. It's just the people who are being stupid. The idea of a single blockchain does make sense and that's how it will end. Things like Polkadot is doomed for failure even much more so than Ethereum. The founder of Polkadot is the same guy who built a company which caused 3 of the biggest hacks on Ethereum.
framore replied:
Let's see... I app
framore replied:
I have feeling that PolkaDot will replace Ethereum more probably than BSV or Ada or Stellar
framore replied:
Maybe Bitcoin is obsolete, it is past. It was the bootstrap for other tech. The potential of PolkaDot is much more enthusiastic than BSV to me.
Seems rational enough to me, any other topic you're likely to get more engagement on boring old Twitter where everyone already is. :) I'm going to start inviting Lojbanists to come speak Lojban on PowPing, but I'm not sure that would help you any, unless you wanted to learn Lojban. :D

on Twitter there are any topic. Here there is 98% bitcoin.
