Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the book. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye." Psalm 32:8 We have all received help in our learning process, whether in school, sport, technology or any other area in which we were called by our service to our Lord to master a set of knowledge or develop a skill. It may have been a fellow collegue a coach, a parent, or sibling or the teachers themselves who helped us. We have all experienced the assistance of another in grasping an idea or tech

"Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14 Throughout Scripture there are many promises given to which we are exhorted to wait. Indeed, a promise often projects us into a future hope that we must wait for in order to receive. However, human patience is often difficult and is easily discouraged over time. You can hear how emphatically King David expresses the Psalm above, repeating the word "wait" and calling us to do s

"Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 For those who feel weary, for those who are carrying a burden, for those who desire rest, Jesus' Own Promise is spoken to us, calling us to come to Him! What is making you weary? What are the burdens that are weighing you down? What is causing you to be tired at this time? There is a lot on our mind and heart in these days especially. Our first instinct is to summon up our own strength, to lift the lo

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;  the Lord lift up HIs countenance upon you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26 Many know this promise very well.  These are the words in which we close every worship service after having received the gifts of God's word and sacrament.  It is a wonderful beginning for each new week and a great encouragement for every day. These are the very words of God by which the first High Priest, Aaron, would b

"And the peace of God, which transcends all human understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7 We live in times that make us feel vulnerable. There is so much that threatens us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We need protection from it all because it steals away our peace and well-being. The verse above from Philippians reminds us of a peace we have that guards us from all the assaults of life in a fallen world. It is a peace

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14 These are the words Moses spoke to the Children of Israel just before the Lord parted the Red Sea and led them to safety away from the Egyptian army. Moses encouraged the people to simply trust in the Lord and to believe that He would fight for them. As you are aware, the Lord did indeed deliver His people that day and crushed Pharaoh's army. There is a time for action and a time for stillness. Every time is the time

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 The verse comes from one of the most beloved Psalms of all, Psalm 23. Perhaps this verse is one of the most comforting in all of the Psalm as it addresses our fear of death. It gives us the security that even when death approaches us, we need not fear, whether for ourselves or for loved ones in the faith to whom death comes. We nee

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 How could "all things" work for good? That's precisely what the verse says, it's all inclusive. Yet, how can God make our struggles and difficulties, the challenges of our time work for good? That is the question before us. The verse does not mean that all things that happen to us are good. Or that we should suspend discriminating right from wrong, i

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You." Isaiah 26:3 So many of God's promises have to do with giving us peace. It is beautiful, isn't it? Peace is one of the most desired gifts in a world at strife. Humans are constantly battling against each other, in competitions. We even fight battles within ourselves as our sinful nature is always at odds with our compassion with the holy spirit. Through the gift of faith, and by His grace, we li

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." James 1:2-3 This is a tough promise, not because it isn't hopeful, but because it is difficult. Perseverance itself is inherently difficult because it includes the idea of waiting for success to be revealed. Patience is always a struggle for fallen people, and when we don't see immediate results, we easily get discouraged. Beyond

After the revelatory has given a future vision of all that is to come, while both great and tragic, he closes off by asking God to come and make it so. Despite that these future events will be cataclysmic, the author knows that they are part of God's plan, and because they are, they will ultimately be good for the people of God. In this se

Discovering God’s Purpose for Giving Life If only all of us would realize the amount of importance that God gives to human life and the very purpose of our existence, probably, nobody would misuse his life. Instead, everyone will surely try to spend it rightfully. In MATTHEW 10:29-30 (KJV), the Lord Jesus Christ said, 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Trust and Have Faith in God Unfavorable or unpleasant things that happen in life, like the loss of a loved one, the acquisition of a serious and incurable disease, financial problem, etc., if not managed properly, are believed to be contributory in increasing a person’s vulnerability to depression. People who succumbed to depression usually manifest pessimism, a feeling of sadness and emptiness, and a very low self-esteem which sometimes lead to hurting themselves, and worst, com

How do you interpret or apply this verse? Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. James 3:13‭-‬16 NIV https://bible.com/b

I think the only way for Christians to unite and stop caring about non-essential theology, is for world wide persecution of Christians to begin. Christians in the west have never really faced persecution like early Christians, or those in the middle east, communist eastern Europe, or China. When they do (and they will), the prosperity gospel (lowercase g) will be a thing of the past.

I think, this verses apply to Bitcoin (#BSV) too. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
