People use "Serverless" to mean different things, but the trendy usage is something like AWS Lambda. It's not actually "Serverless" because the server does exist on AWS server. So what they actually mean by "serverless" is "not having to manage server". I think what you're talking about is SPA (Single Page App). These are the trendy Javascript frameworks like React and Vue, which construct UI on the frontend instead of rendering server side. This has SEO issues like you said. So they came up wit

This is a great read. He's talking about Twitter, Facebook and so on, and even insinuating Bitcoin will not be able to change the trend, painting a grim picture of the future. But it's only grim for people outside of BSV and is actually a great argument for BSV, which acknowledges all this is inevitable. https://palladiummag.com/2020/10/19/the-centralized-internet-is-inevitable/

It's a ruby on rails module for integrating Websockets into your app. I would personally just use Websocket directly though. Hard to scale.

Thanks for sharing the video. I agree that exporting private keys without context is meaningless. Just so I understand correctly, you're saying just the "exporting of individual private keys" is meaningless, and not talking about how being able to export the wallet seed and porting into another wallet is meaningless, right? To be honest, I'm uncomfortable with the idea of BSV wallets moving towards "it's normal that users can't easily export their entire wallet and import into another BSV wall

BREAKING: First Bitcoin “Mixer” Penalized by FinCEN for Violating Anti-Money Laundering Laws https://www.fincen.gov/news/news-releases/first-bitcoin-mixer-penalized-fincen-violating-anti-money-laundering-laws The clock is ticking. Looking forward to what happens with BCH, which added a native feature to enable coin mixing.

"Electron Cash and likely most other BCH wallets use Schnorr signatures by default and these should not be compatible with BSV. So the implication (no guarantees) is that any BCH sent will automatically be split from BSV." Thank you for sharing. When thinking about compatibility between BCH and BSV I guess these protocol features matter a lot. Are there any other BCH added features that make this difficult other than Schnorr?

Many people do it not just because they're addicted to their phones but also because they're shy and feel more comfortable looking like they're doing something than just standing around. Same reason many people at nightclub stare into their phones when they're actually there to drink and socialize.

He's saying that non bsv exclusive miners like Hath don't yet understand or care about making money through transaction volume but only through block rewards. It's half correct and half wrong because there's nothing wrong with taking block rewards today, but in the future transaction fee will be the only way to make money as block rewards go to zero.

I know people will say all this switch back and forth will help the company move forward more effectively (how many times have they changed their leadership, 100 times? All they seem to be doing since their Squire days has been doing all these meta things like changing around the company structure and executives) but anyone experienced in business operations would know this is the worst sign ever to happen to a startup. And yeah, TAAL is a startup no matter how they try to spin it. Doesn't matte

ERC20 was a thing because the investors wanted to make money from speculation. But all that's gone now because of regulation, which means it won't work even if you bring ERC20 to BSV. I doubt any speculative token will take off on BSV because they're illegal.

And that Joakim guy is a shady coin gambler who's shilling Avalanche and some other scam projects the last time I checked.

Interesting. Are they calculating based on the worst case scenario in terms of the BSV price move? People have bee talking about how BTC would crash after the halving but didn’t happen because there were irrational factors at work too. What if the transaction volume doesn’t meet the block subsidy by Q1 2021 but BSV price doubles? Or the other way around? That may change the graph significantly....

1. Great content but unfortunate title. Has nothing to do with "resolution" of anything. 2. Why is @elas_digital not mentioned when they're talking about Satoshi tokens? 3. It reads like this article is an advertorial for STAS token. 4. I was under the impression that TAAL would work with Tokenized (and maybe even run), but based on this article maybe they are just focused on STAS because they spent money on it?

Yeah i agree read.cash did a pretty good job with their community. Technology wise I think the three platforms are different in their own ways: - Memo: posts are bitcoin transactions and fully onchain. - Read.cash: posts are just plain database entries (bitcoin cash is only used for tipping) - Powping+Powpress: posts are bitcoin transactions and offchain by default, with optional onchain.

I guess there's a common factor to Bitcoin supporters, they all love the Matrix (so do i) 😂 If you like movies about multiple universe (or multiple worlds) here are some not-so-obvious ones I recommend: - Coherence - Midnight in Paris - Parallels https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3479316/?ref_=ttls_li_tt (It's really cool, except that it was supposed to be a 3 part series but ended with just the first one) - The thirteenth floor - The incident https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3528756/?ref_=ttls_li_tt

These people suffer from the classic "confusing cause and effect" fallacy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correlation_does_not_imply_causation It's equivalent of thinking "gold is worth thousands of dollars, so if I take a dog shit and sell it to some gullible people for thousands of dollars, it probably means dog shit is as valuable as gold".

I think too many projects on BSV are keeping everything too private and secret so they need to open up more. But I don't think they will ever open up enough for someone to compile a global directory of public roadmap for every project. But I would be happy to see something like this.

We should be more understanding of these people. They are not idiots but they just have their personal brands to protect. Especially this Gary guy. His brand is all about people, and there's no reason for him to risk everything just because of some speaking gig. "Now you google and read StackOverflow, and no-one seems to be having the same problem" => another scary scenario is when everyone seems to be having the same problem but they are all completely different, and you end up trying all the suggestions out and your code becomes spaghetti, and in the end you somehow get it to work but don't know why it's working 😅

TBH I used to be one of the guys excited about token based social networks. I liked the idea that the users can govern the network using tokens and the founders can just build the first version, and launch and walk away. But that was like 2018. Now that we know more about what this has turned into, we know all such tokens are considered security and we also know most of the token projects are illegal securities, I don't know how this idealistic model can ever work out. I haven't been following t

I know Tsu too! I checked it out during its early days and knew it would fail from day one. I found out because some of my friends started sharing "Join Tsu" posts on Facebook and TBH it felt like a pyramid scheme. I agree with you, every social network that makes "making money online" their core value will fail because it only attracts people who don't see the social network as a social network but a place to make money off of others. And that often leads to a culture where people only talk ab

I think this part is incorrect: "Is on the blockchain so it’s immutable (ie it’s there until the internet dies or something like that)." It is immutable because the posts are wrapped in bitcoin transactions, but they are stored offchain and that's how it can be free. AFAIK when you tip a post, the evidence goes on the blockchain.

Also, isn't it a bit too much to get rid of keys completely? The one quality that separates Bitcoin from banks is that nobody can ever take away my money, but with two companies owning my key, it feels like it's the bank scheme all over again, and the only difference is that there are two bankers instead of one. And what happens if either Matterpool or Handcash goes out of business? If users don't own the keys, what does that mean?
