"First you guess. Don't laugh, this is the most important step. If it disagrees with experience, the guess is wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science. It doesn't matter how beautiful your guess is or how smart you are or what your name is. If it disagrees with experience, it's wrong. That's all there is to it." -Richard Feynman #coronavirus #lockdown #masks

Interesting. It kind of makes sense because the symptoms of these types of diseases are the virus's spreading mechanism: coughing, sneezing, over-production of mucus, etc.

Posted my third email to my MP about lockdowns in UK. I will keep doing it as it is the most important issue in my lifetime. There is no science or justification for lockdown/masks whatsoever and is one of the most destructive unnecessary policies in British history. I don't know what else to do apart from chain myself naked to number 10 at the same time as going on Hunger Strike. --- Regarding COVID-19, please consider the following: 1. Contrary to the claims from Whitty/Vallance that ‘the

A "case" should be defined as someone that requires medical attention in a hospital. It should not be a false +ve PCR test to be used for political propaganda. If we counted real "cases" we would see they are normal for the time of year. #endlockdown

I'm struggling a bit now with this BS, how to deal with it? It's my son's 18th birthday today so we all went to the pub in town to celebrate. At the door to the pub: "Do you have a mask, sir?" "No, I don't" "You can't come in then sir." "I'm exempt" Doorman, to other member of staff. "This man says he exempt. OK no problem sir, have you booked a table?" "I don't want food just a pint at the bar please" "Sorry sir, it's illegal to drink at the bar and we're fully booked." I look around t

Vitamin D is made from cholesterol. Your body must have vitamin D to absorb calcium and promote bone growth. Too little vitamin D results in soft bones in children (rickets) and fragile, misshapen bones in adults (osteomalacia). You also need vitamin D for other important body functions. It helps regulate the immune system and the neuromuscular system. Vitamin D also plays major roles in the life cycle of human cells. Saturated fats and cholesterol are very important for the human body and sh

There is no requirement to consume carbohydrate in the human diet. Some glucose is required by the brain and red blood cells and this need is adequately met through gluconeogenesis, the process of manufacturing glucose on demand from triglycerides (body fat).

Less friction, easy to read. Twetch feed is difficult for me to read when posts are listed out of context and often repeated when branched which gets very annoying. It is also costly for a consumer to use - i.e. someone that is more a consumer of content than a producer. This will discourage use. Twitter is mostly a toxic cesspit but has way more reach than any other platform, so people still use it. Powping has a lot of promise with much lower friction, channels, powpress integration and a v

Meig's Field airfield in downtown Chicago was controversially closed in 2003 for a number of reasons, one of them cited by Mayor Daley at the time: "... safety concerns required the closure, due to the post-September 11 risk of terrorist-controlled aircraft attacking the downtown waterfront near Meigs Field." Authoritarians love to control people through fear and "Für Ihre Sicherheit" (for your safety). Resist this.

If you're eating excess carbohydrate (defined as when your glycogen stores are full) then that energy is converted to body fat in a process called de novo lipogensis. Insulin plays a major part in this process. If you are doing regular *high intensity* weight training then you will be depleting glycogen stores in the muscle and can afford to eat more carbs without storing body fat. If you're not weight training hard, and eating lots of carbs, your waistline will be expanding.

Did you binge on sweet sugary foods or alcohol recently? Don't worry. Better if you don't, but if you did, empty out some glycogen by doing some high intensity exercise (research what that really means) and get back to your low-carb diet. If you want to, you can also fast for 24 hrs to get your hormones back under control, specifically insulin and glucagon. You will be back on track in a very short period of time. Humans evolved in alternating states of feasting and fasting.

BTC is not just limited by block size and ruined by SegWit, it is severely limited by removing the most overlooked and powerful feature: Script. By removing Script, BTCers have totally removed any exciting future innovation, and turned BTC into something that is not Bitcoin. I'm not sure what it is or what it's good for. Thankfully we have BSV which preserves the vision that Satoshi had for Bitcoin. #WeChooseSV

Yep, I would also argue laziness. Some people have a nagging feeling that they "ought to do something about their weight/aching joints/back pain/whatever" but just put it off indefinitely until it's too late or gotten to a point where the pain becomes unbearable. The irony is all the information you could possibly need is out there on the internet, you just need to seek it and find it objectively. I did, and I'm healthier now than I have been in literally decades. I feel great, lots of energy

I love the idea of a Like button with invisible MoneyButton a bit like how Twetch has done it. Having an option to tip more would be awesome too and I don't like the way Twetch has done it with /pay - it's too nerdy. I think where Twetch has misjudged things is they have priced everything way to high which discourages dialogue.
