An Application of Bitcoin Smart-Contracts to the Problems of Public Budget Shortfalls and Independent Filmmaking

My recent article explores the use of bitcoin smart-contracts and the development and distribution of non-fungible tokens to the problems of finding funding for independent art projects like filmmaking or music albums as well as to the problem of public-budget shortfalls. I'm interested in hearing from anyone with a background in any of these subject, either filmmaking, creative rights for songwriting, bitcoin script, or the problems of budget shortfalls if these ideas are sensible or am I ove

Anyone want to put together a last minute BSV themed fantasy football league? No sign up fee but all games events have a satoshi equivalent value consistent with HALF-PPR leagues, i.e. each yard is 10,000 satoshi, each touchdown is 60,000 satoshi, interceptions are -20,000 etc? I'd like would draft using Yahoo Leagues in the next 24 hours if we can rally 7-9 other people.

It's a hard question to answer because in some ways, bitcoin is representative of the classic sci-fi phrase, "prepare to jump to hyperspace." It's hard to say which business would benefit most from a transition to hyperspace. Maybe ironically, the business which would benefit most would be Berkshire Hathaway. With bitcoin, businesses become unmoored from their hub-and-spoke modalities whereby the inefficiency of centralization is written into the cost of growth. It is the Sysiphean effort of g

I'd like some advice, PowPing. I'll reward with satoshis! I'm in the process of changing career fields right now. I'm in consideration for joining The Bitcoin Association, and that would be ideal, since I'd be able to focus exclusively on bitcoin, but the other company who I'm interested in is a 10 billion dollar privately-owned global fiber bandwidth provider named Zayo from my hometown of Boulder, CO. I'm interested in building connections with Zayo to the emergent bitcoin community. I would

I could literally talk about this all day. I'd like to just paint a picture for you, re: key wisdom accessed. Imagine this scenario: There is a plane of glass, relatively unassuming, and it separates an exterior world of commotion, and exchange and additive value that represents a string of accumulated work-product that grows longer as it moves through time, somewhat like the game snake where the longer you operate the snake, the more of a tail it gains. And we go out in this world and accumu

Even though I didn't really give you a specific answer to your question, more of an esoteric one, I really enjoyed the question and what my answer was. I've been slowly working on this concept of bitcoin as enabling an authentic brotherhood of man. Not to get too new age, but there is a lot of support for the idea that, by virtue of the precession of the equinoxes, we move through astrological ages, and although it's not completely apparent exactly when one age ends and another begins, at some

Those are tough questions. If that was all true, then probably when you looked up at the night sky you might see like a fog that didn't exist yet but wasn't present until you looked but also wasn't visible if you were looking. So you had to see where it was when it wasn't there.

So what something is must be balanced by what something is not. I wrote a blog about this a few months ago, you can read it here: https://www.deviantart.com/justb/art/The-Prison-of-Definition-with-edits-843535612 But basically, in order to balance something is against what it is not, by preserving it through 21e8, you in effect create a net negative of what everything is not which exists as 21e8 but this process naturally means that 21e8 has a tangential relationship with everything that IS sim

The purpose is to create an authentic topographical map of where the gravy has been. The biscuit is used because the gravy will go onto it easily. But the end result is to create a topographical image of the gravy in order to better understand its unique variance properties. If you think about it, it works a little bit like the toys for children which have many needles and which create impressions. 21e8 enables a topographical understanding of data sequences in a way that layers and preserves th

21e8 is like a warm half a biscuit, and global data is like the white sausage gravy. Twetch is like the table. You basically get the best results if you sit at the table and then use your real hand, not a sybil hand, to pick up the warm half of a biscuit and dip it in the global data. After you do that, you don't necessarily eat it. You just pick it up, and look at it. Eventually, someone that doesn't have a table or a hand or a biscuit uses their real people legs (not sybil legs) to come over t

Depending on how you look at the film, you can argue that Agent Smith is Neo, just the dissociated/unintegrated aspects of Neo which are constantly engaged with the sysiphean effort to wage one's ego as a weapon against the world. Neo's struggle with Smith in the end is emblematic of their being of one body and one mind. Neo's frees himself from this struggle by activating the power of choice. "Why do you continue ton fight?" "Because I choose to." Choice is the activating power which returns

Jean Gebser describes this shift in his book, "The Ever-Present Origin," as aperspectival realm. the prefix, a- "to free from", not a-, "to negate." He describes our current paradigm as being perspectival in nature and emerging with Leonardo DaVinci's frescos. The perspectival realm is representative of the third dimension necessary for objectivity and rationality to emerge from prior fundamentalism and mythic-literalism representative of the 2nd dimension, i.e the yin-yang symbol. For a new p

More and more I sense that bitcoin is more than simply peer-to-peer electronic cash, but that it's the basis for an emergent paradigm shift that values the autonomy and agency of individuals over and above those validated by external means. But just because the value of your agency is restored that doesn't eliminate the personal responsibility you assume in that process in the same way that eliminating the trusted-third-party doesn't remove the personal responsibility of managing your own finan

To those ends, by enabling peer-to-peer connections, we become incentivized in each other's authentic growth, experiences and development in a way not possible otherwise. Our social mores become extensions of our individualism rather than arbitrary bastions of bygone days. By improving our selves, we improve the network, just as the Hindu sage, Ramana Maharshi, imagined when he said, “Wanting to reform the world without discovering one's true self is like trying to cover the world with leather t

Decide contains the root word, "cide" from the latin, meaning "to kill." The word "decide" means to eliminate options until one remains. This process displaces responsibility from you to the inadequacies of the eliminated alternatives. "We decided to do this because the other options were worse." Decisions are self-perpetuating cycles, since you lack a capacity to experience what you continually eliminate. The counter to this process is choice. Choice is a free act independent of what else may b

Likewise, if we're building a product or a model, if we tailor it strictly to the norms of yesterday then we could be missing out on the true currency of tomorrow. While building, we should be thoughtful to leave spaces where what is to come can reside without constriction. "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in th

The concept of a utopia is inherently flawed in that our notions of it will always depend on who we currently are instead of a system which transforms us into a version of ourselves that had been previously inaccessible to us.

The value is also only valuable in so much as it can be applied by those with whom you've connected. If you have the secret to all existence, but it is completely inaccessible to others, then its utility becomes a walled garden. Serving to each other peer-to-peer means being willing to receive at least as much as one plans to give and that requires being dynamic and flexible. <3

One of the problems BSV solves is web-of-life network systems where the Self becomes subsumed by the network, and the autonomy of the individual is absconded. The network is often accorded a deeper degree of actualization by virtue of having linked what amounts to zombies, as though many dead ends somehow a pathway forge. BSV as a network model preserves the autonomy and also engenders a capability to build a shared vision. Because of the immutability of data, what is started by one can be com

Peer to Peer is what a rainbow is with respect to the separate points where it meets the ground. Peer to Peer means being simultaneously grounded in something but also bridging towards the pure unity that is embedded within conjoined "opposites." With the introduction of perspective into art through the frescos of DaVinci, you have for the first time a visual representation of the dialectical opposites which form the basis of the third-dimension and allow objectivity and scientific materialis
