If Twitter had the same P/E as Facebook it would be trading at less than $4/share.

I think I was mostly right here. Margin buyers are really sellers, not HODLers, so the price must go down. From the article: "If people do this and keep using margin, then a whole bunch of sell orders are going in at 50% of the current price, or 75% if 4:1 is used. This means that the price of BTC could fall to somewhere between $15,000 and $22,500, just to close out those sell orders."

Thoughts on the BTC price in this current halving cycle, particularly with respect to margin trading.
It's fairly broadly accepted that the BTC price goes up in cycles which roughly correlates with each halving due to reduced supply. However this cycle the price pattern seems to be a little different to previous cycles. I tend to think this is due to

Rambling thoughts on Social Media
I don't really like 'social media', I'm not that interested in what someone is eating or thinking (for the most part). What I really want is one giant RSS feed of press releases of interesting news of the day as close to the source as possible.

3 years ago I wrote this short article titled 'Curator: The missing role on the Internet' I've also copied and pasted the text below. I believe it is still relevant today. https://medium.com/@jolon/curator-the-missing-role-on-the-internet-995e3dfee6c5

Something I've thought about for a while is the idea to allow for more creative freedom in posts. Most social media is text + images or video. It's very restricted in creativity. One thought I've had is to allow for posts to contain code that allows the post to be interactive in some way. Obviously allowing posts to contain code would introduce risks but could be contained in an iframe or possibly somehow restricted to a canvas. Some ideas include: - Interactive chart / data visualisation - P

Trending tags is one of the worst aspects of Twitter. I wonder if charging to use a tag would help? Using a tag is a bit like voting, if there is no cost it can easily be gamed.

Twitter is in quite a vulnerable position as a company. There hasn't been much in the way of user growth. There hasn't been much improvement in technology or features. The stock price hasn't really gone anywhere since the IPO 7 years ago. Which limits stock incentives for executives and employees. I presume that talented executives and engineers wouldn't find a career at Twitter appealing. The kinds of people that might be passionate about Twitter in its current form might not be the kind of

An interesting feature to add would be to allow users to create subtopics that can be subscribed to. So if you aren't interested in someone's politics for example you don't have to subscribe to that subtopic. At the moment on most platforms you need to create a separate account to isolate topics.
