Earn BSV by getting friends to watch incredible video about how Daniel Krawisz came to BSV, what makes money, weird OG stories, and more. I cranked the affiliate link rev share to maxed out 80%. https://streamanity.com/video/2WScrM1GREoUTk

OK, I put an entire (short) book on bit.sv. This is one of my favorite things I've ever written, as it's very personal and raw and covers the most challenging and exciting phase of my life - starting my first company. I had a big vision and it took a lot of courage (and ignorance) to get it going. If you've started a company you know, this shit is hard. I share my main lessons and experiences. Enjoy! https://bit.sv/post/92c0e7f1062b2076d24ff3b11f054f22808e655a87c181c25a58ff796c85f5ab

I LOVE this type of artwork/sketch/notes. Davinci's sketches and notes are more visually appealing to me than his finished paintings. I love blueprints and architectural drawings too.

I tipped myself $1 to get more visibility on this discussion. But since I get all the money back minus the tx fees, it's not a very accurate signal! Guess if I verifiably burned it with boost it would show how much I value you seeing the conversation. ;-)

This is a really interesting overview of the Handicap Principle, why proof of work fulfills the criteria, and how it differs from other costly signals. I'm not as sure as Daniel that isolating handicaps from other costly signals is unequivocally superior to a more complex bundle, nor am I sold that paying money to burn energy is a costly enough signal for most use cases or to result in more truth. But I now see the ways in which these might be true much clearer, and understand Boost POW vs other signals better than before. Oh, and video finally works! https://streamanity.com/video/4pFYIpSDipHY?ref=ab00d2c4-7e9b-412c-9338-2913474539ae

I always want to be in control of my faculties. I don't get drunk and I've never tried any mind-altering substance except marijuana once and I did not enjoy it. I suspect the phase in life I'm in, with kids and businesses and responsibilities, makes it even less attractive to not be in full control of my mind. Still, I am very intrigued by the kind of discovery and exploration possible with things like Ayahuasca. I know several people who have had very intense and beneficial experiences. I would love to hear any stories - positive or negative - from anyone who has done hallucinogenics. Not so much about the trip itself, but whether and to what extent you feel you gained permanently from it, what conditions are important, etc. I'd also love to hear your take on what causes these experiences and what is actually being experienced.

Hypothetical time machine scenario... If you believe that Bitcoin is currently way behind where it could be because of dev capture, early user naivete, social manipulation, forks, more forks, etc. (I do) AND you believe some or all of this could have been prevented (I'm not sure), question: In your ideal world and knowing what you know now, how would Bitcoin be introduced to the world to prevent the problems and increase success?

One of the most interesting - and possibly most Gnostic - scene in the movie is when he's interrogating Morpheus and you can see his weird relationship with humanity, and how he is confused, disgusted, flustered, yet somehow has respect for them, even some jealousy or longing.

I would love to see powping essentially replace the "job to be done" that reddit once did. Text-based, short-medium form, deeper questions comments and topics, ongoing conversations, mix of currently relevant and long shelf-life timeless content. I don't think the quality demand is for more 10 second videos or two sentence blurbs. Throwback to the old forum days but bringing all the best tech advances and social media lessons learned since with us.

Crazy idea: direct p2p moderation. In my company we have a rule that if a colleague offends you or you're mad at them, you're not allowed to tell anyone else unless/until you have directly told them. So if someone reports offensive content, maybe first step is they must submit in writing why it's offensive to them directly to the person who posted it. That person can remove it or not but must reply sharing why they disagree. Original party can back down and say ok you're right keep it or no I'm still offended and only then does it go to third party moderator (who could even be another community member they agree on or just a volunteer). This would reduce spam reporting and force a more human p2p convo and reduce "internet courage" by making it real.

I don't watch news myself, but funny anecdote. Every time I've been on Fox News our website has exploded in traffic (last night probably easily 100k people tried to visit in minutes and crashed our site), and I've been bombarded on all social media channels. When I went on CNBC (a very long positive segment) literally nothing happened. Zero impact on traffic or any social channels. To this day, people tell me all the time they saw me on Fox (even from years old appearances). I have never met a single soul or received a single message from anyone who told me they saw me on CNBC. I get more out of going on tiny podcasts no one's heard of.

Lol. Love all the comments. I've been on Tucker and some other Fox shows as well as MSNBC and CNBC several times over the past 3-4 years, usually to talk about -careers without college -how to build a career -how to compete with robots for jobs And other education/career stuff. It's a weird format and I'm not always happy with my performance (I'm in a remote studio, can't see anything, audio delay, and never know how long the segment will last or what they'll ask ahead of time). Will share video clip when it goes up!

I did a 30 day system reset: 3 days water only, then a week of bone broth only, then bb + leafy greens for a week, then bb, lg, and berries for a week, finally bb, lg, berries, and fish. Day 1-2 were awful (I did hot/long as I could handle magnesium + sea salt baths 2x a day the entire first 2 weeks as well, so that made me light-headed), day 3 felt amazing, and the rest of it was just kinda annoying. BUT, my immune system did a full reset, which resulted in some fevers and cold/flu symptoms which were much needed to kick some lingering stuff I'd not been able to get over.

"The real bosses, in the capitalist system of market economy, are the consumers. They, by their buying and by their abstention from buying, decide who should own the capital and run the plants. They determine what should be produced and in what quantity and quality. Their attitudes result either in profit or in loss for the enterpriser. They make poor men rich and rich men poor. They are no easy bosses. They are full of whims and fancies, changeable and unpredictable. They do not care a whit for past merit. As soon as something is offered to them that they like better or that is cheaper, they desert their old purveyors. With them nothing counts more than their own satisfaction. They bother neither about the vested interests of capitalists nor about the fate of the workers who lose their jobs if as consumers they no longer buy what they used to buy." -- Ludwig von Mises

OK, could someone theoretically pull their entire Twetch history from the chain so it displays here under their post history as well? Or add a button to posts here that says, "Also post to Twetch" which would ensure it gets on chain, on Twetch, and costs $?

Hey tech people, how hard is it to create a search engine? I think making the best, ad-free search engine is a killer move to get a jump on. I love rallying people around a vision. I'm not technical, so I play with my ideas by buying URLs, asking questions, writing copy, thinking about biz models, and seeing if anyone with tech skills wants to tinker. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RqrJbLn0sJx8k9DcX0uDnq58xqERyTWlD8s_0RqUl0o/edit?usp=sharing
